Condition & logistics
Running vs Not Running
Running SUVs and crossovers can fetch higher donation valuations, especially those with newer drivetrains. If yours isn't running, we still consider donations, but valuations may be lower.
Title Issues
If your SUV or crossover has a clean title, that’s great! However, if there are title issues, we may still accept it, but it could complicate the donation process.
Storage/Pickup Logistics
We offer free pickup services for your vehicle. Whether it's parked at your home, RV park, or storage unit, we’ll coordinate a convenient time for the pickup.
Title transfer & paperwork
In Idaho, transferring the title is straightforward. You’ll need to fill out the Idaho DMV Form ITD 3360 and sign it over to Idaho Wheels Forward. Make sure to keep a copy for your records. Also, if the vehicle is registered, return the plates to the DMV. No notarization is required unless specified in special cases. We’ll guide you through this process to ensure everything is efficiently handled, so you won’t be left in the dark.
Tax deduction for this donation
When you donate your SUV or crossover, you could qualify for a tax deduction ranging from $500 to the vehicle's actual sale price, depending on its condition and whether it sells for over $500. We’ll provide you with IRS Form 1098-C, which details the sale of your vehicle and helps you report your deduction accurately. It's always wise to consult a tax professional for personalized advice regarding deductions.
Local context — Idaho
In Idaho, SUVs and crossovers are more than just vehicles; they're part of the adventurous spirit. Many residents find themselves downsizing after retirement, relocating for work, or simply trading in their vehicles for something more fuel-efficient. Whether you're in Boise, moving from a lakeside cabin, or parting with your rugged vehicle after a divorce, donating your SUV or crossover can not only be a savvy decision but also a generous one. The local culture thrives on outdoor activities, making these vehicles ideal for donations that directly support those needing reliable transportation.
